Meet Corey

Corey A. Pruneski is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with a distinguished 12 year career in engineering consultancy. His vast expertise encompasses a wide array of design, analysis, and inspection services. Throughout his career, Corey has been at the forefront of conducting failure mode analysis, forensic engineering, construction quality evaluations, litigation support, and mechanical systems design services. His key competencies lie in Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems, property turnover and condition assessments, forensic investigations and analysis, construction defect inspections, and building code compliance services.

His path into engineering began with a solid foundation in education. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio University in June 2010, setting the stage for his future experiences and achievements.

Corey began his professional career as a Staff Engineer at Karpinski Engineering in Cleveland, Ohio, where he sharpened and grew his engineering skills. His passion for engineering then led him to Belcan, LLC, located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he served as an Analyst/Engineer from November 2012 to January 2017.

He would later join M2E, LLC, in West Palm Beach, Florida, embarking on a remarkable journey that saw him ascending through several leadership roles and ranks. Starting as a Project Engineer in January 2017, he quickly moved up to the position of Senior Project Engineer in December 2017. Corey’s dedication and expertise were recognized, and he was appointed Department Head in November 2018, later becoming Engineering Director in July 2019. His upward trajectory continued at Engineering Express, Inc., in West Palm Beach, where he served as the Director of Mechanical Engineering from October 2021 to April 2022.

In his current role, Corey is the Principal Consultant at Building Mavens, Inc., based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida where he brings his years of experience to bear for our clients.

He holds the title of a Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida (PE #82242), which he obtained in January 2017.  His commitment to excellence is further exemplified by his memberships in prominent engineering societies and organizations, including the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
